The problem is that it's working.
Which means, uh. Rosso gets to see Adrian's real shapeshifting powers, which admittedly aren't as impressive as the illusion he's capable of in Ryslig...but it is a lot more real.
He growls, the harder skin along his fingers sharpening to long claws before the same thing happens all the way up his forearms, spikes growing about half a foot from his limbs from his wrists to his elbows. The same thing happens on his legs, causing the material of his pants to "rip" audibly as the spikes tear apart the bottom half of the material.
Then, without preamble, Adrian throws himself off the ground from all fours, rushing Rosso with both of his hands outstretched. With any luck, he'll be able to grab Rosso by the front of his clothing and just
Throw him, as hard as he possibly can, backwards over his shoulder. He will not be able to manage such a throw as Rosso did earlier, but maybe he can at least toss him some distance.]
